On October 7th, Empire Slice House celebrated five years of slices, good times and a lot of pizza!
To commemorate Empire’s fifth birthday, the slice shop made a $10,000 donation to Positive Tomorrows, a non-profit that provides education to homeless children across Oklahoma. By providing transportation, educational tools, meals and other basic necessities, Positive Tomorrows gives homeless children stability and a quality education. This allows children to focus on school while their parents get the support they need to create a better life.
“After 5 years, we wanted to give back to a community that has given so much to us,” said 84 Hospitality founder, Rachel Cope. “Continued support from the people of Oklahoma has allowed us to provide homeless children two semesters of education, something that no child should ever go without.”
As a constant champion for Oklahoma and its people, Cope is honored to positively impact a cause near and dear to Empire’s heart. Previously, Empire permanently instated an “Empire for Education” 25% off discount to all teachers across the state, which began in support of the Oklahoma teacher strike.
Cope presented the check to Positive Tomorrows on Friday, September 28, while students from Positive Tomorrows were in attendance.
